Ice Wolves, Giants and a Chimera.

Attendance: Moerdering, Azarra, Whitecat, Qualin, Rune

Rune joins us from the pirate ship. He's ready for a new adventure and is just the addition our group needs. He is a shape shifter and commonly presents as a rhinoceros during battle. Here is our starting location:

We sleep, tired from the previous battle and while asleep some wolves attacked us.

Qualin gets bit on her leg by the wolves and receives an icy wound. Whitecat gets bit in the face and thrown off to the side with serious injuries. Rune almost has his leg severed.

 Qualin attacks and hacks into one of the wolf’s legs, leaving it crippled.

Moerderin brings down one of the wolves using fire damage.

Rune loses his leg completely and Qualin slowly bleeds to death. Whitecat knocks one of the wolves unconscious.

Azarra hits a wolf in the abdomen and knocks him unconscious. Moerderin kills another wolf.

The wolves attack and knock Whitecat down. Qualin hacks off a leg of another one of the wolves.

After we kill the last of the wolves, we find out that they are ice wolves with iron teeth. Their bodies are freezing cold, yet they still have internal organs.

We continue walking towards Mt. Doom and see two giants up ahead. Azarra uses her bow and hits one of the giants in the neck and right arm. He looks irritated and in a minor amount of pain.

Rune tries to sneak up from behind while Moerderin flies overhead. Due to their sheer size and our lack of mana left (we used it to heal from the last battle), our fear increases.

Whitecat and Moerderin decide to attack anyway. Whitecat hits the monster in the face with his mace and it barely harms the giant. Moerderin hits the giant in the back of the head doing 17 points of damage. The giant still doesn’t even stagger.

Qualin hits the giant in the back. All of these massive hits seem to have very little effect on the giants other than angering them. Eventually, the one giant we target is overwhelmed by injuries and succumbs to our blows. Qualin is able to take out the second giant.

 We sleep, renew our mana and walk for a day. We only come across buffalo, but otherwise have an uneventful day. We camp without problems and continue walking towards Mt. Doom for another day.

We arrive at the base of Mt. Doom and Azarra spots a path to the top.

 We begin the ascent and spot a Chimera!
