Orc Battle in the Woods

Attendance: Roland, Azarra, Whitecat, Salmon and Shorty

Before making camp, we continue walking towards the smoke in the distance and here voices from the distance. We are 100 yards from the smoke. Three orcs with crossbows are aiming at the group. One shoots at Roland and does 3 points of damage against him. Whitecat hits one orc with his long bow and kills him. Azarra runs up to one of the orcs and hits him with her greataxe and she kills him. An orc appears from behind a tree and does 9 points of damage to Azarra.

Six orcs surround Roland, attack him and render him unconscious. Salmon hits an orc with his crossbow (the one that attacked and hurt Azarra), but it the hit doesn’t do any visible damage. Shorty casts a spell and causes 4 of the orcs surrounding Roland to fall asleep. Whitecat shoots his long bow again and kills the last orc with the crossbow.

Azarra and Roland are unconscious by the end of the battle. Three of the sleeping orcs are killed by the group. Whitecat ties the fourth one up with rope.

There are muffled noises coming from one of the tent. Meanwhile, Salmon heals Roland.

In the tent, were three tied up humans. We untie them and they say the orcs captured them and have been torturing them. One of them are the apprentice mage, for whom we have been looking, and we will take him back to the master mage.

Whitecat searches the camps and find a little bag with 215 gold, a glass with dark colored liquid and a fancy gold bowl. We also find a lot of weapons. Two of the humans run away, while the third stays with us. The apprentice told us not to go back the same direction and instead we should go forward, because orcs and goblins will follow us if we go back. Destro builds a litter to put Roland and Azarra on. We move 200 yards from the orc camp.

We make camp and nothing happens throughout the night. We build a raft and go down the river the following day. We encounter two goblins, but Whitecat easily kills them. We eventually make camp on the south side of the river. During Destro’s watch, he sees an orc across the river who runs away from him.
