The group encounters dire wolves on way back to the caves. They successfully kill 4 of them, with one of the wolves running away and one of the wolves being kept for training.
They meet the Mage and he offers to help train group by creating skeletons for
them to fight and training on magic skills. The mage is raising a necromancer army of skeletons with the
dragon skeleton. The group and mage plan on having the mage attack with his army on the main front, while the group sneaks through the mountains to infiltrate the castle from the back.
Mage gives them scrolls to cloak magic, clothing to blend in
for both the cities, and also a magical bag to carry everything. He also tells
of a friend of his in the town’s library who will give them a place to sleep
and lead them to the tunnel to sneak into the castle through the dungeon.
He also helps enchant two swords with electrical damage. Mage
trains them giving them 4000xp. The mage also promises Red a necromancer eagle, but this will need to be raised from the dead and will meet the group later in the journey.
The group heads north through mountain pass and encounters
rock trolls.
